Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design low- and medium-voltage power systems and serve as the primary technical interface for assigned equipment.

The role requires coordinating with mechanical teams, validating components, and mentoring junior engineers while supporting field tests and customer meetings. Opportunities exist for growth within a 75-year-old power solutions leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Field service experience is a plus.
• Industrial automation experience is a plus.
• Experience with hyperscale customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs and drawing packages for complex equipment.
• Perform design, troubleshooting, and commissioning for assigned projects.
• Serve as primary technical contact during design, manufacturing, and testing phases.
• Coordinate with mechanical designers for optimized layouts and views.
• Validate components and verify material compatibility and specifications.
• Author sequences of operation and mentor junior engineers on design processes.
• Collaborate with test and field service teams to verify operation per design.
