Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and upgrade medium voltage distribution systems for industrial and critical facilities.

The role blends technical leadership with client-facing advisory work, developing infrastructure, leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and enhancing power-system reliability, safety, and performance. Hybrid role with 3–4 office days per week, depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• 6+ years of medium/low voltage power system experience.
• Experience designing distribution from service entrance to MV/LV equipment.
• Strong client-facing communication and project mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual to detailed design for medium/low voltage distribution systems.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, layouts, specs, and calculations.
• Coordinate with utilities and review submittals.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality studies.
• Provide technical leadership and support construction activities.
