Job summary

Jabil seeks a Principal Engineer – Medium Voltage Electrical in Prince George, Virginia to lead MV electrical architecture, design governance, validation, and lifecycle support from concept through production for MV power distribution products. You will mentor engineers, drive DFx, and ensure compliance with IEEE/IEC standards across global programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Power Systems concentration preferred.
12+ years of electrical engineering experience in MV switchgear, substations, or related power systems.
Strong leadership and multi-program impact experience.

Responsibilities

Own MV electrical architecture strategy for switchgear, substations, and power distribution systems.
Translate requirements into scalable specifications, roadmaps, and release deliverables.
Lead system-level decisions for protection, metering, and communication networks.
Define and approve studies for short-circuit, arc-flash, and grounding.
Guide design for manufacturability, DFx, and design transfer across sites.
Collaborate with global teams to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
