Job summary

Jabil seeks a Principal Engineer for Medium Voltage Electrical in Prince George, Virginia. The role serves as the senior technical authority for MV architectures, design governance, validation, and lifecycle support across programs, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost targets.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams with customers, manufacturing, and engineering to drive design decisions, apply IEEE/IEC standards, and deliver robust MV power distribution solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems preferred.
• 12+ years electrical engineering experience in MV switchgear, substations, or industrial power systems.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the electrical architecture strategy for MV switchgear, substations, and power distribution equipment.
• Translate requirements into scalable engineering specifications, design rules, and roadmaps.
• Lead system-level electrical architecture decisions for protection, metering, and communication networks.
• Define and approve protection philosophies, relay settings, arc-flash mitigation, grounding, and insulation coordination.
