Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Engineer for Medium Voltage Electrical to act as the senior technical authority on MV electrical architecture, design governance, validation, and lifecycle support. You will guide cross-functional teams, set engineering standards, and drive risk reduction from concept through production release.

You will collaborate with customers, global engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure safety, quality, and cost targets are met while adhering to lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Power Systems concentration preferred.
• 12+ years of electrical engineering experience, including MV switchgear, substations, and utility/industrial power systems.
• Senior technical leadership across multiple NPI programs or product launches.
• Experience integrating intelligent electronic devices, PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern electrical architecture strategy for MV switchgear and power distribution worldwide.
• Translate requirements into scalable engineering specifications and roadmaps.
• Lead system-level electrical architecture decisions for protection and control systems.
• Define short-circuit, arc-flash, load-flow studies to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and develop reusable MV design standards.
