Job summary

Jabil seeks a Principal Engineer – Medium Voltage Electrical in Virginia to serve as the senior technical authority for MV power distribution products. You will guide architecture, validation, and lifecycle strategies across programs, coordinating with global teams to ensure safety, reliability, and cost targets.

The role requires extensive MV experience, leadership across multiple programs, and expertise with IEC/IEEE standards, protection schemes, and industrial communication protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
• 12+ years in electrical engineering with MV switchgear/substations experience.
• Senior technical leadership across NPI programs or product launches.
• Deep expertise in MV protection relays, insulation coordination, BIL and arc-flash mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Govern MV electrical architecture and design governance across platforms.
• Translate requirements into scalable specifications and roadmaps.
• Lead system-level decisions for protection, metering, and control in MV systems.
• Define and approve studies (short-circuit, load-flow) for compliance and reliability.
