Jabil in Prince George, Virginia, seeks an experienced Principal Engineer for MV electrical systems. You will lead MV electrical architecture, protection schemes, and coordination across multiple programs, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost targets.

Responsibilities include defining design rules, reviewing studies, and guiding production release while collaborating with global teams, suppliers, and customers. Strong leadership and standards compliance are essential in this senior role.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Power Systems concentration preferred.
• 12+ years electrical engineering experience including MV switchgear/substations and power distribution.
• Senior technical leadership across multiple NPI programs and product platforms.
• Deep expertise in MV protection, coordination, insulation coordination, BIL, grounding, and arc-flash mitigation.
• Experience with IEDs, PLCs, HMIs, protection relays, meters, and SCADA integration.
• Proficiency with IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP and other standards.

Responsabilidades

• Own and govern MV electrical architecture strategy for switchgear and distribution equipment.
• Translate requirements into scalable specifications, roadmaps, and release deliverables.
• Lead architecture decisions for protection, control, metering, and communication networks.
• Define and approve protection philosophies, relay settings, and coordination studies.
• Guide design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and post-launch engineering support across programs.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, NEC, NFPA, NETA, UL and utility standards.
