Job summary

Advanced Systems Design, Inc. is seeking a Senior Developer (MUMPS) for our client on a work-from-home basis. You will design, develop, test, and support VistA/MUMPS solutions within VA health IT contexts.

In this role, you will analyze legacy code, implement secure improvements, manage patches, and collaborate with VA stakeholders and analysts to ensure reliable releases and sustainment. Strong government credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of VistA, MUMPS, Cache/IRIS or equivalent health IT development.
• Hands-on experience with MUMPS and VistA conventions and testing.
• Experience with patch creation and VistA patch release processes.
• Healthcare or clinical application workflows experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain government credentials including a PIV.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support VistA/MUMPS solutions.
• Analyze existing code, implement enhancements, ensure VistA compatibility.
• Support database, patch packaging, installation, and verification.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, infrastructure, VA stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and deployment evidence.
