Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a VistA/MUMPS Developer for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. The candidate will analyze VistA functionality and implement MUMPS modifications while reducing SSN usage and enhancing enterprise identifiers to protect PII.

You will collaborate with an Agile, cross-functional team, perform testing, debugging, and documentation, and ensure secure handling of sensitive data in VA workflows. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years VistA/MUMPS development.
• Strong experience with VistA packages and M-based platforms.
• Experience debugging, testing, and Agile practices.
• Knowledge of VA privacy, NIST controls, and secure coding.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Modify VistA/MUMPS apps to eliminate SSN usage and adopt enterprise identifiers.
• Analyze routines and data structures to identify impacted functionality.
• Develop unit tests and support integration, UAT, and deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with QA to investigate defects and verify resolutions.
• Follow secure software development practices for PII/PHI handling.
• Participate in Sprint ceremonies and communicate estimates and risks.
