Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a VistA/MUMPS Developer for a 100% remote role supporting a federal healthcare modernization project. You will analyze VistA functionality, implement MUMPS modifications, and advance SSN-to-enterprise-identifier migrations while protecting PII.

Work within a remote, multidisciplinary Agile team alongside Lead VistA Developers, BAs, QAs, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders across multiple VistA packages. US residency required.

Qualifications

5+ years of VistA/MUMPS development experience.
Hands-on VistA development using MUMPS/M and Caché or GT.M.
Experience with secure software development and PII handling.

Responsibilities

Modify VistA/MUMPS applications to eliminate SSN usage and transition to enterprise identifiers.
Analyze routines, data structures, workflows, and dependencies; troubleshoot defects.
Develop and execute unit tests; support functional/integration/regression testing.
Collaborate with QA to investigate defects and support post-release issues.
Follow secure coding practices for PII/PHI; document changes and considerations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate estimates, risks, and dependencies.
