Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Lead VistA/MUMPS Developer for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. You will provide technical leadership to replace SSNs with enterprise identifiers while protecting PII across VistA applications, reports, and data workflows.

You will guide architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation, ensuring secure coding practices and collaboration with cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance teams in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with extensive VistA/MUMPS development experience
• Experience with VistA components, data structures, and large-scale applications
• Proven ability to lead development and ensure secure, compliant delivery in Agile settings

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for VistA/MUMPS development and provide direction and mentoring
• Analyze existing VistA applications and identify SSN usage to eliminate or replace with enterprise identifiers
• Design, modify and enhance VistA/MUMPS apps and data flows with secure, auditable practices
• Lead testing, deployment, and production support within VA/DoD security standards
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and stakeholders in an Agile environment
