Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Full Stack Developer with MUMPS expertise to support Veterans Affairs healthcare tech from a remote location.

You will test, validate, and troubleshoot critical healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment, contribute to modernization and testing excellence, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

Experience testing healthcare or government systems in regulated environments.
Hands-on testing of MUMPS/InterSystems Cache applications and healthcare data flows.
Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI and VistA/FileMan components.
Experience with test planning, execution, and defect management using common tools.

Responsibilities

Support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache.
Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
Validate software changes and system upgrades across interfaces and external partners.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
Analyze logs and defects to identify root causes and coordinate fixes.
Collaborate with developers and business users to validate requirements and test objectives.
Create testing data/environments and report testing metrics and status.
