Job summary

Horning is hiring a senior Maintenance Technician III for a 288-unit high-rise in Hyattsville, MD. You will independently diagnose and repair across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, manage unit turns, and mentor junior staff while ensuring on-time PMs and high resident satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years of multifamily maintenance, EPA 608 Universal, OSHA 10, and a valid license. The position offers full-time hours, on-site work, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of multifamily, residential, or commercial maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair and carpentry.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior technicians.
• Ability to lift 40–75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete advanced repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry.
• Lead end-to-end vacant unit turns to lease-ready condition.
• Participate in preventive maintenance program design and PM routines.
• Mentor Technician I & II on site and supervise during emergencies.
• Coordinate vendors and support capital projects as needed.
