Job summary

JES Holdings, with Fairway Management division, seeks skilled maintenance professionals to keep apartment communities in top condition and ready for occupancy. Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 3+ years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems.
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make readies ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner; includes painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Ability to pick up supplies from area vendors while operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Make the manager aware of health and safety concerns on site.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and HUD/LIHTC maintenance standard training.
