Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to manage repair requests and routine upkeep across the community, ensuring safety and quality. You will handle make-ready tasks for vacant units, schedule vendors, and inspect work to uphold Greystar standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to cost-control and resident satisfaction. This role offers comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs following safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by team members and contractors to ensure quality, scope, and specifications.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates with the Community Manager to order supplies within budget.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
• Participates in safety meetings and stays current on OSHA and safety regulations.
