Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the community buildings, grounds, and amenities to meet Greystar standards of safety and appearance. Tasks include diagnosing resident work orders, completing repairs, and ensuring common areas are well-kept.

Responsibilities also cover the make-ready process for vacant units, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work to ensure quality. Strong customer service and tools proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills with residents and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues from resident service requests following policies and safety standards.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, and inspect completed work.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by other team members and contractors to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policy.
