Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform high-quality upkeep across our single-family rental homes in the Houston area. You will handle multiple trades, deliver exceptional resident service, and uphold safety and quality standards in every visit.

Daily tasks include completing service requests, proactive preventive maintenance, and educating residents on home systems. You will use company apps, drive tools, and coordinate scheduling to complete work efficiently, often

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
2-5+ years of residential repairs and maintenance experience.
OSHA 10 certification required.
EPA Certification: Type I, Type II, or Universal preferred.
HVAC certification preferred.
CPO certification (pool) preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication; multilingual a plus.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and use maintenance tools.
Proficient with mobile devices and maintenance apps.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance service requests across multiple trades.
Provide excellent customer service and promote a quality living experience for residents.
Perform work while respecting residents' homes.
Complete regular ProCare visits and schedule next maintenance visit.
Educate residents on maintenance topics and home systems.
Complete property condition assessments and alert management of urgent issues.
Review technician reports for opportunities for improvement.
Repair vacancies during turnover or on-market properties.
Use company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles properly.
Review next day’s appointments and ensure necessary equipment and materials are ready.
Adhere to safety guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.
