James River Equipment in Charlotte, NC seeks a Rental Operations Manager to own day-to-day rental operations across our North Carolina locations. You will ensure fleet availability, rent-readiness, and consistent branch execution while leading a team of rental coordinators.

Reporting to the Rental Director, you will implement standard procedures, monitor KPIs, coordinate inter-branch transfers, and drive billing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in equipment rental operations with at least 2 years leading or coordinating teams across multiple locations.
• Experience with rental management software; Integrated Rental (IR) experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to write and enforce standard procedures and hold others accountable for results.
• Knowledge of John Deere and/or competitive equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly between branches.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day rental operations across North Carolina locations to ensure fleet availability and rent-readiness.
• Direct inter-branch transfers to meet customer demand and track fleet utilization.
• Partner with service to optimize rent-ready turnaround and repair priorities.
• Enforce standard check-in/check-out inspections and oversee damage/loss recovery.
• Implement standard rental procedures and SOPs at every branch and conduct regular audits.
• Drive billing accuracy and resolve escalated customer and operational issues.
• Serve as lead user/trainer for the Integrated Rental system and maintain data accuracy.
• Monitor branch KPIs and deliver monthly operations summaries to Rental Director.
• Coach and develop rental coordinators and counter staff across the region.
