Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder to certify and perform multi-process welding on pipe and structural components. Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW will be required, with potential x-ray quality qualifications as needed.

The role involves reading blueprints, laying out assemblies, and welding in various positions, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. On-site work in Louisiana; benefits include comprehensive health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant welding experience.
• Familiarity with SMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and metallurgy.
• Must pass certification tests and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components to assemble structural forms per blueprints.
• Select pipe sizes and plan layouts for welding operations.
• Operate welding equipment and adjust amperage, voltage and pulse as required.
• Maintain safety and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Work in different positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead.
