Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Texas seeks an experienced welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe and welding with SMAW, GTAW and GMAW. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components for machinery frames, tanks and pipe according to blueprints and metallurgy.

The candidate will select materials, plan layouts, and perform welding with various processes while ensuring quality and safety, including reading blueprints and adhering to certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass certification tests and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or materials per specifications.
• Plans layouts and welding using knowledge of welding techniques.
• Performs welding with SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW as required by procedure.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for assembly.
• Welds and reinforces parts to join edges and create assemblies.
