Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced welder to certify and weld multi-process components in industrial settings in Westlake, LA. You will be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW and may be required to meet x-ray quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in welds.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or other related materials and equipment according to specifications.
• Plans layouts and welding sequences using geometry and metal properties.
• Operates multiple welding processes as required (MIG, TIG, MMA).
• Lays out, aligns, and fits assemblies for piping and structural components.
• Welds components in various positions and inspects bead quality.
• Contributes to safety compliance and maintains tools and workspace.
