Job summary

Ascent Aerospace in Michigan seeks a seasoned CNC programmer to develop multi-axis toolmaking programs for aerospace production. You will post-process, create setup sheets, and craft fixture information while coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing and Inspection to ensure efficient, high-quality results.

The role requires CATIA/ENOVIA and CAD/CAM proficiency, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience using TEBIS a plus.
• Experience in using CATIA and/or ENOVIA.
• Minimum 3 years of writing Multi-axis CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
• Five years’ experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Engineering/Manufacturing background preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge with GD&T.
• CMM programming experience a plus but not required.
• Familiar with cutting tool inventory and latest cutting tool technology.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and machining practices.
• Familiar with material types, feeds and speeds.
• Detail blueprint interpretation and geometric tolerance oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create multi-axis machine programs from customer supplied part models and specs.
• Post process programs and verify completed programs.
• Generate machine set-up sheets for shop planning.
• Generate fixture and shop aid information for set-ups.
• Interface with Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection.
• Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
