Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a skilled CNC programmer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing programs. You will work with engineering, operations, and project management to improve part programs and tooling, ensuring prints are met and processes are efficient.

The role requires MasterCam/Catia experience, 3–5 years of machining, and the ability to interpret GD&T. Travel up to 10% may be required; strong collaboration with QA is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 year technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in MasterCam.
• Experience programming with Catia V5/6, CAD/CAM; NX is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Run Instructions, Setup Sheets and Tool Lists for parts being programmed.
• Pulling files from Catia and reviewing 3D CAD design blueprints.
• Creates Multi-axis toolpath for CNC Mills using Catia (V5-R32).
• Create 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mill programs; update repeats to current standards.
• Check completed programs by running simulations or tests; select tools and calculate feeds/speeds.
• Proof out the program with an operator; ensure parts are made to print; assist with quality issues.
