Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking a CNC Operator in Michigan to support the CNC Department Manager by establishing NC tool setups and validating programs for 3- and 5-axis machines. You will oversee day-to-day NC program operation and tooling details to ensure accurate part manufacture.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, 5 years of machining experience, and strong math skills, including GD&T knowledge. A commitment to safety and willingness to work varied shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in conventional machining and/or NC machining practices.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints including GD&T and tolerances.
• This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Work with NC Programmers and CNC Manager to establish NC tool setups and validate NC programs for 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.
• Responsible for complete Numerical Control operation for machining tools, details, and parts.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and policies.
• Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
