Job summary

Ascent Aerospace in Michigan is seeking a CNC Operator to join our aerospace tooling team. You will support NC programmers and the CNC Department Manager to set up tools and validate programs for 3- and 5-axis machines.

The role focuses on safe operation, precision, and adherence to GD&T and blueprints, with opportunities to contribute to high-precision tooling for aerospace and defense applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in conventional or NC machining.
• Ability to read blueprints with GD&T.
• Strong math skills for calculations.
• U.S. Person status per ITAR required.

Responsibilities

• Establish NC tool setups and validate NC programs for 3- and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Operate NC machine programs and oversee tool details and parts.
• Maintain safe operations per procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
