Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager for MQ and ACE Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of IBM MQ and ACE platforms across enterprise environments.

You will mentor high-performing teams, drive automation, governance, and cost-efficient operations while partnering with Application Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud Platform, Security, and Enterprise Architecture to advance integration modernization and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years supporting enterprise integration, middleware, messaging, or platform engineering environments.
• 5+ years leading engineering, platform, infrastructure, or technology teams with delivery, operations, and talent development.
• 5+ years administering, architecting, and optimizing IBM MQ environments.
• 4+ years designing, developing, and supporting IBM ACE or IIB solutions.
• 3+ years implementing high-availability, disaster recovery, DevOps automation, and CI/CD in hybrid/cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering, operations, modernization, and continuous improvement of IBM MQ and ACE platforms ensuring reliability and performance.
• Define and execute platform strategy, roadmaps, standards, and governance with stakeholders.
• Drive automation, capacity planning, DR readiness, and service improvement through modern practices.
• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing engineering teams with ownership and accountability.
• Manage vendor relationships, support models, and lifecycle planning for complex integration initiatives.
