Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr. Movable Bridge Engineer to lead electrical design for rehabilitation and new movable bridges across the US and Canada. You will oversee inspections, develop design calculations, and mentor engineers within our Structural/Bridge Group.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC), US PE, and 15+ years in movable bridge electrical engineering, with CAD/Microstation proficiency. Hybrid work model offered, travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited).
• US PE licensure required.
• 15+ years of mova ble bridge electrical experience.
• Experience in bridge electrical design and rehabilitation.
• Movable bridge inspection experience.
• Proficiency with CAD/drawing software (AutoCAD/MicroStation).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on movable bridge projects.
• Oversee electrical design for rehabilitation and new movable bridges.
• Lead and mentor design teams and engineers.
• Develop design calculations, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients, including reports.
• Prepare technical memos and communications.
• Support field inspections and project delivery.
