Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Movable Bridge Engineer to lead electrical design on movable bridge projects in a hybrid, nationwide US role. The candidate will oversee inspections, develop rehabilitation strategies, and provide technical leadership for project teams.

Required are a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET‑EAC), PE in the US, 15+ years in movable bridge electrical engineering, CAD skills (AutoCAD/MicroStation), and willingness to travel to projects and offices.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC accredited).
Professional Engineer (PE) in the US.
15+ years of movable bridge electrical engineering experience.
Experience in bridge electrical design for movable structures.
Movable bridge inspection experience essential.
Familiarity with industrial power distribution, instrumentation, control systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on movable bridge projects.
Lead design teams and mentor engineers.
Perform inspections, condition assessments and develop rehabilitation strategies.
Prepare drawings, specs, design calculations and cost estimates.
Develop preliminary CAD details and coordinate with CAD technicians.
Communicate with clients and develop technical reports.
