Top Tier Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor to oversee mortgage application processing and underwriting, while maintaining an active underwriting role. You will supervise daily workflow in the Mortgage Department under the Retail Lending Manager and ensure adherence to guidelines and policies.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in mortgage lending, strong leadership, and analytical risk assessment skills to minimize risk and drive department growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with 5-7 years mortgage lending experience.
• 3-5 years managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage underwriting and compliance required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Expert computer skills with Adobe and Microsoft Office; Excel in particular.
• Ability to multi-task and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite and process conventional, construction, and non-conforming residential mortgage loan applications
• Adhere to internal underwriting standards and investor guidelines. Be an expert in and maintain mortgage compliance with federal and state lending regulations, manage audits
• Manage and track loan pipeline within department. Ability to delegate tasks to team and execute follow-up
• Lead Mortgage Department in facilitating and coordinating real estate closings from application to closing
