Job summary

Quorum Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Underwriting Team Lead to oversee underwriting of first and second mortgages, manage a team, and drive efficiency with AI-enabled tools. This role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across Mortgage Loan Officers, Operations, and Secondary Market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience at a credit union, bank, or financial institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite all mortgage files within delegated authority and in compliance with guidelines.
• Monitor mortgage pipeline to ensure timely decisions and service goals.
• Lead, coach, and develop underwriting staff; drive process improvements and automation.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Loan Officers and other departments.
• Stay current on regulations, investor guidelines, and emerging technologies.
