Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Loan Processor to deliver quality customer service by collecting necessary documentation for underwriting and managing third-party disclosures in compliance with applicable regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with customers and loan officers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of residential mortgage processing experience, proficiency with Encompass, and a solid understanding of RESPA,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general mortgage lending regulations.
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower’s credit, employment, income and assets per loan program before underwriting.
• Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify potential underwriting issues.
• Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and coordinate with the Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage-related regulations and prepare disclosures.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain surveys, certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.
• Verify vendor orders are complete and invoices in the E-file.
• Manage pipeline by submitting reports within turnaround times.
• Assist set-up of loans.
• Document all communication related to the loan application.
• Train and assist supervision of new Loan Processors and other processing personnel.
• Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to clear suspense items.
