Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC in Ohio is seeking a Loan Processor to deliver quality customer service by gathering documents to underwrite loans and communicate with customers and Loan Officers.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5 years of residential mortgage processing experience, and familiarity with Encompass, RESPA, and related regulations. We offer competitive compensation and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including Reg Z & Reg B.
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets as required by the loan program before underwriting.
• Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify all required documentation in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify potential underwriting issues.
• Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and ensure accuracy of printed documents; communicate with the Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage regulations and prepare disclosures.
• Coordinate with vendors for Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title, and payoff information.
• Verify vendor orders and invoices in the applicant’s E-file.
• Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within turn-around times.
• Assist set-up of loans.
• Document all loan communications.
• Train and supervise new Loan Processors and processing personnel.
• Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to clear suspense items.
• Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
