Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage is hiring a Senior Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high-quality residential real estate loans. You will engage with clients, realtors, and partners to drive mortgage sales and deepen relationships.

The role requires strong mortgage experience, sales capability, and the ability to explain financial calculations. You will collaborate with branches, ops, and processors to ensure timely closings.

Qualifications

• Residential mortgage experience required.
• 5-8 years of experience in the field.
• 1+ year sales, credit and/or finance experience required.
• Proven product sales capability is required.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and explain financial calculations and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze income, assets, debts, cash flow and credit history.
• Analyze information to assess loan qualification for lending solutions.
• Recommend lending solutions that meet customer objectives.
• Advise on risks and benefits of different lending options.
• Promote Citi's lending services to clients and referral sources.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices to build relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to grow mortgage business.
• Coordinate with Operations for smooth loan processing and closing.
• Develop and manage referral relationships with realtors, CPAs, builders.
