Job summary

Citigroup is seeking a Senior Mortgage Lending Officer to originate and manage high-quality residential real estate loans. This role partners with retail branches, real estate agents, and referral sources to grow mortgage business while delivering excellent client service.

You will assess borrowers' financial situations, explain loan options, and ensure timely closings by coordinating with processors and underwriters, while maintaining compliance and safeguarding Citi's reputation.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in mortgage or related field.
• Residential Mortgage experience required.
• 1+ year sales/credit/finance experience required.
• Proven product sales capability required.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred.
• Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to assess financial situations and home ownership goals.
• Collect and analyze customers' financial data and credit history.
• Recommend lending solutions that meet objectives.
• Promote Citi's brand and lending services to clients and referral sources.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices as needed.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support customers and drive mortgage business.
• Work with Operations, Processors, and Underwriters to ensure timely closings.
• Develop referral relationships with real estate agents, CPAs, builders.
• Maintain compliance with laws, rules, and Citi policies.
