Job summary

Wealthfront is seeking an experienced mortgage loan closer to join our MOps team, driving a seamless, tech-enabled closing process for complex loans. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and a smooth customer experience through final steps of home financing.

You will work with cross-functional partners to review documents, coordinate funding, and navigate title issues, keeping deadlines in a fast-paced environment while upholding Wealthfront’s standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years mortgage loan closing. QC experience a plus.
• Proficiency in LOS systems, Document Preparation software and closing platforms
• Strong knowledge of closing guidelines
• Experience training and mentoring
• Understanding of state and federal lending regulations
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices

Responsibilities

• Lead final review of loans including multi-lien transactions (CEMA).
• Manage funding for complex transactions with careful accuracy.
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve title issues.
• Prepare and review CDs, loan documents and escrow instructions for compliance.
• Serve as subject matter expert on closing processes.
• Coordinate with title companies, escrow agents and borrowers to facilitate the closing.
• Ensure closing packages meet regulatory standards.
• Verify final loan terms, fees and funding details before closing.
• Collaborate with processing, origination and post-closing teams.
• Work with leadership, compliance and legal on evolving regulations.
• Oversee funding process, wire requests and authorizations.
• Lead complex closing transactions and advise on documentation and funding.
• Maintain loan pipeline and meet deadlines under high volume.
• Perform post-closing duties as needed.
• Prioritize workload to meet critical deadlines; handle escalations.
