Wealthfront is seeking a senior mortgage loan closer/funder to join our Mortgage Operations team as we build and scale our lending operations. A key player on the team, you will guide clients through the final steps of their home loan journey with accuracy, compliance and a seamless closing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years mortgage loan closing and funding experience in a Senior or Team Leader capacity.
• Experience in a broker or correspondent environment is a plus.
• Experience preparing wire orders and conducting funding authorization reviews.
• Proficiency in LOS systems, document preparation software and closing platforms.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting XML and MISMO files.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the final operational check for final documents and funding, managing complex disbursements and ensuring adherence to internal financial controls.
• Manages the closing workflow, ensuring timely package generation, accurate fee reconciliation and adherence to TRID timelines across the team.
• Prepares and reviews CDs, loan documents and escrow instructions to ensure compliance with federal, state and investor guidelines.
• Manages the full funding process, executing wire requests, funding review and authorization.
• Leads complex closing transactions, acting as subject matter expert on loan documentation, compliance and funding.
• Coordinates with title companies, escrow agents and borrowers to facilitate the closing process.
• Collaborates across processing, origination, post-closing, compliance and legal to ensure adherence to evolving regulations.
