Job summary

Fundraise Up is seeking a senior mobile software engineer to design, build, and maintain the iOS and Android apps powering our nonprofit donations platform. You will work across requirements, implementation, testing, store release, and production support to ensure reliability, performance, and security on diverse devices and OS versions.

You will own mobile initiatives end-to-end, collaborating with backend and web frontend teams, while maintaining high code quality and platform standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years with React Native.
• Proficiency in React Native and TypeScript.
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and HTTP basics.
• Familiarity with iOS and Android tooling (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle).
• Understanding of mobile OS fundamentals and app lifecycle.
• Experience with automated testing practices.
• Knowledge of mobile security considerations and data handling.
• English proficiency sufficient for daily written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement features, fix bugs, and resolve production incidents across iOS and Android, extending to backend and web frontend as needed.
• Own mobile initiatives end-to-end from requirements to production release and monitoring.
• Diagnose complex mobile issues across app, native layers, networking, and platform behavior.
• Review code and designs for correctness, architecture, and adherence to mobile best practices.
• Contribute to and evolve mobile engineering standards, testing, and release policies.
• Monitor releases, health, and rollback procedures post-release on both platforms.
