Job summary

Rula is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to build and scale patient-facing mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native. You will own end-to-end delivery of impactful features, collaborating with Product, Design, and backend engineers to create intuitive, reliable experiences that increase accessibility to mental health care.

You will help evolve our mobile architecture, improve engineering quality through testing and performance optimizations, and mentor teammates while contributing to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building production mobile applications.
• 3+ years of experience with React Native, TypeScript, and modern React development.
• Experience shipping mobile features end-to-end, from design through release and monitoring.
• Working knowledge of native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
• Experience owning projects from design through delivery, with the ability to make tradeoffs and communicate rationale.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional partners, surfacing risks early and contributing to clear scope/estimates.
• Proven ability to mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Fluent with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, etc.) and able to articulate both where they accelerate delivery and where they introduce risk or require human judgment
