Job summary

Rula in the United States is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to own end-to-end features for patient-facing apps on iOS and Android using React Native. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and backend teams to build scalable experiences and evolve the mobile stack.

You will mentor engineers, focus on testing and performance, and contribute to the long-term success of our mobile platform in a remote-first environment with broad US coverage (excluding Hawaii).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, incl. 3+ years building production mobile apps.
• 3+ years with React Native, TypeScript, and modern React development.
• Experience shipping mobile features end-to-end from design through release and monitoring.
• Experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
• Ability to own projects from design to delivery with trade-off decisions.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional partners and risk/estimates clarity.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of features across iOS and Android using React Native.
• Partner with Product, Design, and backend engineers to craft reliable experiences.
• Evolve mobile architecture and improve quality through testing and performance optimizations.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to long-term success of the mobile platform.
• Communicate tradeoffs, scope, and estimates clearly to stakeholders.
