Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in mobile/field settings. The role includes diagnostics, light repairs, and documentation using TRAIT app. Requires ASE T8 within 18 months, a DOT medical card, and valid driver's license.

The position offers a path for advanced diagnostics under supervision and requires strong safety adherence and independent scheduling with regular training opportunities.

Qualifications

HS Diploma/GED with 3 years related field experience; or 5 years in related field.
Possess set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on vehicles in mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
Document work on RO and upload photos using company devices.
Maintain service truck and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
Communicate with management for approvals and parts requests.
