Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in the United States is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our customers by maintaining fleets and handling service calls at client locations.

The role requires 5 years’ Class 7 & 8 technician experience, CDL preferred, and ASE certifications are valued. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• FMV medical card as required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and open work schedules.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace major components and parts as needed.
• Document work performed in the mobile service program accurately.
