Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service our clients' fleets at their locations. You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy trucks, ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, field readiness, and the ability to manage on-site service calls with customers. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, ongoing training, and opportunities for professional growth within a large nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and required inspections.
• Manage service truck inventory and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to Service Manager and perform daily assigned duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible scheduling.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders and assess vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, gears, and transmissions.
• Document all work in the company computer system.
• Inspect safety guards and tighten loose bolts, ensuring safety devices function.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs meet specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
• Submit paperwork timely and accurately in mobile service program.
• Communicate with customers regarding work and foster positive relations.
• Advise customers on repairs or services to be performed within 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply training on the job.
