Job summary

Rush Truck Centers (Rush Enterprises, Inc) is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support customers with on-site service calls and fleet maintenance. You will diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, manage service-truck inventories, and coordinate with the Service Manager on daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years as a Class 7/8 technician, a high school diploma, and mechanical aptitude. CDL preferred; medical card and ASE certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
• Current CDL preferred but not required
• Medical card as required by the FMVS
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Remain available for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
