Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment across New York. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, road test vehicles, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

You will lead on-site diagnostics, coordinate parts, maintain safety compliance, and work with customers to ensure timely, quality repairs while meeting performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in related field.
• DOT compliance knowledge and ability to pass DOT background screen.
• ASE certifications or OEM training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; test with instruments.
• Road test vehicles and document findings in RO using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for required parts.
• Maintain safety standards and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
