Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

The role emphasizes diagnostic expertise, independent scheduling, and on-site customer interaction. Candidate must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and bring hand tools; company offers training, safety gear, and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; related discipline may count with alternative degree/certification.
• At least 3 years' experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess a set of hand tools necessary for duties; DOT/FMCSA requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Document work orders, parts used, and findings using company TRAIT app and iOS device.
• Maintain safety checks, pre-/post-trip inspections, and manage parts on service truck.
