Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on light to heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and triage issues, document work on RO using TRAIT app, manage parts on the service truck, and coordinate with customers to ensure service excellence.

This role includes potential incentive programs and a 100% travel requirement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 3 years related experience or 5 years in related field.
• 3+ years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools required.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations familiarity; DOT medical card or willingness to obtain.
• ASE certifications or OEM training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems; road-test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory on a company service truck and document findings in RO via TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management and customers to assess needs and provide updates.
• Maintain safety checks and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
