Job summary

FleetPride, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Technician III to master preventative maintenance on heavy-duty truck and trailer systems in our Wichita shop. You will diagnose, repair, and replace components, performing advanced diagnostics and training junior technicians.

The role requires hands-on experience with diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and welding. You will work in a shop between service calls and may participate in after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience with repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
Diesel technology training or certification is preferred.
Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunction.
Provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers.
Train new service shop employees on company procedures.
Inspect orders for completion and quality before delivery to customers.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication and filter replacements.
Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
Work in shop between service calls and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
