Job summary

Rush Truck Centers, a leading leader in the commercial truck industry, seeks an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support on-site client locations with tenured, certified expertise.

Responsibilities include maintenance, diagnostics, on-site service, and scheduling with after-hours availability. The role requires travel Monday–Friday and offers a Total Rewards package including healthcare, 401(k), and employee stock purchase options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for the workshop.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible on schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions to plan procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work in the mobile service program.
