Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to maintain fleets and respond to on-site service calls. You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel trucks at customer locations, ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance including fuel, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service and open work schedule.
• Maintain tools and read job orders to determine procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and perform repairs.
• Inspect and service brakes, batteries, transmissions, and other components.
• Document all work in the company computer system.
• Communicate repairs and next steps to customers and service writers.
