Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid-range repairs on fleets in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose issues, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings using a company iOS device and TRAIT app.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT/driver credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience, or an equivalent combination.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months after hire.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required prior to employment.
• Candidate must have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Diagnose and repair various truck equipment and test functionality in the field.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings on RO via iOS TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety checks, pre-/post-trip inspections, and manage parts inventory on the service truck.
